Hi @lordfart,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It can be frustrating when a glass panel doesn't fit back onto your HP Omen 40L. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
Inspect the Glass Panel and Case
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no cables or components obstructing the panel from fitting back into place.
- Clean Edges: Make sure the edges of the glass panel and the case are clean and free of debris.
Align the Panel Correctly
- Top and Bottom Edges: Start by aligning the top edge of the glass panel with the top edge of the case. Ensure that the bottom edge is also properly aligned.
- Tabs and Slots: If your case uses tabs and slots for securing the panel, ensure they are correctly aligned. The tabs should fit into the corresponding slots without resistance.
Apply Even Pressure
- Gentle Pressure: Apply gentle, even pressure to the panel to secure it. Avoid pressing too hard, which can risk breaking the glass.
- Use Both Hands: Using both hands to apply even pressure can help ensure the panel snaps back into place properly.
Check Screws and Fasteners
- Check Screws: If there are any screws or fasteners that secure the glass panel, ensure they are not preventing the panel from fitting. Sometimes, loosening them slightly can help.
- Reattach Screws: Once the panel is aligned, reattach any screws or fasteners if applicable.
Additional Tips:
- Avoid Force: Never use excessive force to fit the panel, as this can damage both the glass and the case.
- Double-check Orientation: Ensure the panel is oriented correctly, as installing it upside down or backwards can prevent it from fitting properly.
By carefully following these steps, you should be able to reattach the glass panel securely.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
