Hi @Nonowt1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP ENVY 700-109c Desktop PC typically comes with both HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) and DisplayPort (DP) connectors for connecting a monitor. To use the monitor, you need to check which type of video output your monitor supports (HDMI or DisplayPort) and use the corresponding cable.

HDMI: If your monitor has an HDMI input, you can use an HDMI cable to connect it to the HDMI port on your HP ENVY 700-109c Desktop PC. HDMI is a common standard for transmitting both audio and video signals.

DisplayPort: If your monitor has a DisplayPort input, you can use a DisplayPort cable to connect it to the DisplayPort on your desktop PC. DisplayPort is another standard for transmitting high-quality audio and video signals.

Before purchasing a cable, ensure that it is long enough for your setup and that it meets the specifications required for the resolution and refresh rate you desire. Additionally, it's worth noting that if your monitor supports both HDMI and DisplayPort, you can choose either one based on your preference or the available ports on your PC.

Simply connect the chosen cable from the appropriate port on the desktop PC to the corresponding port on the monitor, and you should be able to use your monitor with the HP ENVY 700-109c Desktop PC.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
