hdmi port not working

I am trying to set up a 2nd monitor to my pc but one of my hdmi ports isnt responding, i have the cable plugged in and ive tested it with other working cables and the cable it came with worked on my other monitor so i dont know what to do

I am waiting for confirmation of your computer model.
but from what you said, you are most likely trying an HDMI output from the motherboard (there are rarely two HDMIs on HP video cards)
As a result, the motherboard port cannot be used at the same time!
