HP 22er 21.5-inch Display
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Issue: There is the amber standby light when switching the power outlet. The white led light where you insert the power cable behind the monitor is also lit.
However, when pressing the on button many times, there is no respond. I tried unplugging power cord. HDMI, and leave it for a day. Tried it again. Same issue. Plugging it into my laptop, with the hdmi cable, press the on button, no respond either.

Note: Monitor is out of warranty. I am not sure where to send for checking as I am not sure if this is a major issue that repair is going to be costly (as costly as getting a new monitor?). Or is it worth the repair (minor repair - manageable cost)

So far I have tried to search online, many of them had issues with no power, no amber standby light. In my case, I had the standby light. I check the power cord, everything was in order. I measured the voltage using a multimeter, input was 240V AC, output from the adapter was 19V DC. I am using the original adapter.

Has anyone had the same issue and managed to solve it?
