Hi @manpreet8

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your All-in-One PC is experiencing some display issues, which could be related to a few possible causes, such as problems with the graphics card, display cable, or the monitor itself. The random red and green lines you see could be due to hardware issues like loose connections, damaged cables, or problems with the screen or internal components.

Here’s how you can approach fixing it:

1. Check for Software/Driver Issues

  • Update Graphics Drivers: Sometimes display issues can be caused by outdated or corrupted graphics drivers. Visit your PC manufacturer’s website (for example, HP, Dell, etc.) and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
  • Boot into Safe Mode: Try starting the computer in Safe Mode (where only essential drivers load). If the lines disappear in Safe Mode, it could indicate a software or driver issue.

2. Test with an External Monitor

  • If possible, connect your PC to an external monitor. This can help you determine if the issue is with the screen or the graphics card.
    • If the external monitor works fine and there are no lines, then the issue is likely with your All-in-One's display.
    • If the lines appear on the external monitor as well, the issue may be related to the graphics card or motherboard.

3. Inspect the Connections

  • Loose Connections: If you're comfortable opening the PC, the issue could be a loose cable connecting the motherboard to the display. For most All-in-One PCs, there will be a cable that connects the motherboard to the display. This cable could be damaged or improperly connected.
  • Before opening, unplug the PC and remove any power sources. Then, carefully open the back panel of the All-in-One.
    • Look for loose or damaged display cables: If you're familiar with internal PC components, locate the ribbon or LVDS cables that connect the screen to the motherboard.
    • Reseat the Cable: Disconnect and reconnect the cables to ensure they are properly seated.

4. Check for Physical Damage

  • Inspect the screen for any visible damage or issues. Cracks or damage could be causing these random lines.
  • If the screen itself is physically damaged, it may need to be replaced.

5. Try a Hard Reset

  • Power off the PC, then unplug it from the wall. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to 1 minute to discharge any remaining electricity. This can sometimes reset any hardware glitches that may cause display issues.

I hope this helps.
