Hi @JTOL797,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how frustrating it must be to have a new monitor that’s not connecting properly with your setup. Let's get it sorted out so you can enjoy your new screen!
Here are a few steps to help troubleshoot:
Check Cable Connection and Port Compatibility
- Make sure the cable you’re using (HDMI or DisplayPort) is firmly connected to both the monitor and your Dell OptiPlex. If your desktop and monitor have multiple video ports, try switching to a different port.
Test with a Different Cable or Device
- Use a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable to rule out cable issues. If possible, connect the monitor to another device (like a laptop) to see if it displays properly, which can help determine if the issue is with the monitor or the PC.
Confirm Monitor Input Source
- On your HP m22f monitor, use the buttons to navigate to the input source menu, and ensure it is set to the correct source (e.g., HDMI) that matches your connection.
Update Display Drivers
- On your Dell OptiPlex, go to Device Manager > Display Adapters, right-click your graphics adapter, and select Update Driver. You can also visit Dell's support page for any recent driver updates specifically for Windows 11 compatibility.
Check Power and Display Settings
- Go to Settings > System > Display on your PC and check if the monitor is detected. You can also try Detect to see if it recognizes the external display.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
