TouchSmart 520-1000Z
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Is HP going to update the nextwindow voltron touch screen driver for windows 10?  Right now Windows 10 will not install because it says the display is not compatible with Windows 10. I have what I believe is the most current driver 3.1.12.4.

Has anyone been able to install windows 10 on a TouchSmart 520? Is there a workaround for the nextwindow driver?

Installed the latest NextWindow Voltron Touch Screen (from the Win10 Creators edition - HP TouchSmart 520 touch screen went bizerk!  Had (and since the touch screen was going crazy, this was fun) to disable the NextWindow driver(s).

Not able to use the touchscreen right now....

Anyone else have this issue, perhaps?

Thanks....

Wondering the same thing - I think HP has given up on the 520s, last updates were for the Win8.....

I know this is a big grave dig but I had this issue today and so figured it might help someone to know how I got the touchscreen driver installed.

1) Go to http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=nextwindow

2) Download the first option "NextWindow driver update for NextWindow 1950 UCS Compliant Touch Screen"

3) Open the cabinet file you have just downloaded

4) Select all files (Control+A) and copy them into a folder anywhere on the PC

5) Run the file "NWInstall"

6) Fist pump, touch should now work.

Note: This was for a Touchsmart 520-1020a

Cheers.

Gary.
