Hi @granddpa3417,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing issues with pictures not loading on websites and receiving a "please wait" message that eventually times out on your HP Laptop PC 15-Dw3000, there are several possible causes and solutions you can try.

  • Check your internet connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection by checking other websites or performing a speed test. If your connection is slow or unstable, it may cause images to fail to load or time out. Try resetting your router or connecting to a different network to see if the issue persists.
  • Clear browser cache and cookies: Cached files and cookies stored by your web browser can sometimes interfere with the loading of images. Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can help resolve this issue. Go to your browser's settings or preferences and look for options to clear browsing data. Make sure to select the cache and cookies checkboxes before clearing the data.
  • Disable browser extensions: Browser extensions or add-ons can sometimes conflict with the loading of images on websites. Try disabling any extensions you have installed and see if the problem persists. You can usually manage extensions through your browser's settings or extensions menu.
  • Update your browser: Outdated or incompatible browser versions may encounter difficulties in loading certain website elements, including images. Check if there are any updates available for your web browser and install them. Alternatively, try using a different browser to see if the issue is specific to one browser or occurs across multiple browsers.
  • Disable antivirus or firewall temporarily: Occasionally, antivirus software or firewalls can interfere with the loading of website content. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall and see if the images load properly. If they do, you may need to adjust your security settings or whitelist the websites you are visiting.
  • Try a different DNS server: DNS (Domain Name System) servers translate website domain names into IP addresses. Sometimes, using a different DNS server can help resolve issues with image loading. You can change your DNS settings in your network adapter properties or router settings. Public DNS services like Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) are commonly used alternatives.
  • Disable proxy settings: If you have proxy settings enabled on your laptop, they may be causing issues with image loading. Disable any proxy settings in your network settings or browser settings and see if the problem persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
