HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Recently I have problems about two monitours connected to my PC. I cannot switch their position.

In system graphic card there are two drivers: AMD Radeon RX 6400 and AMD radeon graphics. Is it correct even if the card is an AMD Ryzen 5  5600 G?

I would download the graphic card driver for my Windows 23H2 version  but I can find only previous versions. Problems if I download the 22H2 version?

Hi @xmar,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

It looks like you're experiencing issues with your dual-monitor setup on your HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a, and you also have some questions about your graphics drivers. Let's address each point.

1. Monitor Position Switching Issue:

If you're unable to switch the positions of your monitors, it could be due to a configuration issue in Windows. Here's how you can manually adjust the monitor positions:

  1. Right-click on the Desktop and select Display settings.
  2. In the Display section, you should see two rectangles representing your monitors.
  3. Drag and drop the rectangles to match the physical arrangement of your monitors.
  4. Click Apply to save the changes.

If the monitors are still not switching positions correctly, try disconnecting them and reconnecting them one at a time. Then reconfigure the display settings as above.

2. Graphics Card Driver Clarification:

  • AMD Radeon RX 6400: This is your dedicated graphics card, which should be handling most of the graphics processing tasks, including driving your monitors.
  • AMD Radeon Graphics: This likely refers to the integrated GPU within the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor. It’s normal to see both drivers listed because your system has both a dedicated GPU (RX 6400) and integrated graphics.

Since the dedicated GPU (RX 6400) is more powerful, ensure your monitors are connected to the outputs of this card.

3. Downloading Graphics Card Driver for Windows 23H2:

  • Compatibility: If the latest available driver is for Windows 22H2, it should generally work with Windows 23H2. However, it's always best to download drivers specific to your version when available.
  • Driver Update Method:
    • From AMD’s Official Website: Go to the AMD Driver Support page and search for the latest drivers for the AMD Radeon RX 6400.
    • If you can't find a 23H2 driver, the 22H2 driver should work, but keep an eye on the AMD site for any updates or patches.

4. Considerations When Using the 22H2 Driver on 23H2:

  • Potential Issues: While it's likely the 22H2 driver will work fine, there's always a small chance of compatibility issues when using a driver not specifically designed for your Windows version. This could manifest in minor bugs or reduced performance.
  • Installing and Testing: If you decide to install the 22H2 driver, monitor the system for any unusual behavior. If you encounter problems, you may need to roll back to a previous driver or wait for a 23H2-specific update.

General Tips:

  • Ensure BIOS and Chipset Drivers are Updated: Sometimes, updating the BIOS and chipset drivers can help with compatibility issues between the GPU and the operating system.
  • Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller): If you experience issues after installing the driver, consider using DDU to completely remove the old drivers before reinstalling the new ones.

These steps should help you manage your dual-monitor setup and ensure your graphics drivers are properly configured. Let me know if you need further assistance!

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
