Hi @hralaphdama,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP OmniStudio X 31.5-inch All-in-One Desktop PC is experiencing a screen flickering issue after waking from sleep or restarting. Here are a few potential solutions.

Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Go to the HP support website, search for your PC model, and download the latest graphics driver. Alternatively, check for updates through Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Display adapters, right-click your graphics device, and choose Update driver.
  • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

Adjust Refresh Rate: A mismatch between the screen's refresh rate and the graphics card’s output might cause flickering. To change it:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
  • Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
  • Under Refresh rate, select a different value to see if it resolves the flickering.

Disable Hardware Acceleration: In some cases, hardware acceleration can cause screen flickering:

  • Open Settings and go to System > Display.
  • Scroll down and click Graphics settings.
  • Select the app that is causing the issue, and disable hardware acceleration for it.

Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, a system update can fix display-related issues. To check for updates:

  • Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates.

BIOS/UEFI Update: An outdated BIOS could also cause display issues. Visit the HP support website, search for your specific model, and check if a BIOS update is available.

Reinstall Graphics Drivers: If the issue persists, you may want to reinstall your graphics drivers. To do this:

  • Go to Device Manager, right-click the graphics device, and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the necessary drivers.

Test with External Display: To check if the issue is with the screen or the graphics card, connect your PC to an external monitor. If the flickering persists on the external monitor, the issue might be with the graphics card or software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
