Hi @Jamz2x

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Let’s work through this step by step to get your HP All-in-One PC 22-2032d running smoothly again with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400. The Video Memory Fast Check and Extended Memory Check errors usually point to driver or configuration issues rather than a hardware fault.

Here’s a clear path you can follow:

Step 1: Update the Graphics Driver

  1. Press Windows + R, type devmgmt.msc, and press Enter to open Device Manager.
  2. Expand Display adapters.
  3. Right-click Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  5. Restart the PC once the update completes.

Step 2: Reinstall the Graphics Driver

If updating doesn’t resolve the issue:

  1. In Device Manager, right-click Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 and select Uninstall device.
  2. Check the box Delete the driver software for this device if available.
  3. Restart the PC. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
  4. If it doesn’t, go back to Device Manager → ActionScan for hardware changes.

Step 3: Run Windows Updates

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Update & SecurityWindows Update.
  3. Click Check for updates and install all available updates.
  4. Restart the PC after updates are applied.

Step 4: Use HP App Diagnostics

  1. Open the HP App from the Start menu.
  2. Navigate to Troubleshooting & Diagnostics.
  3. Run Hardware Diagnostics focusing on the graphics tests.
  4. Follow the on-screen guidance to complete checks.

Step 5: Adjust Graphics Settings

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Graphics Properties.
  2. In the Intel Graphics Control Panel, reset settings to Default.
  3. Apply changes and restart the PC.

Step 6: Perform a Clean Boot

This helps rule out conflicts with other software:

  1. Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  2. Under the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
  3. Go to the Startup tab and open Task Manager. Disable all startup items.
  4. Restart the PC and test the graphics again.
  5. If the issue is resolved, re-enable services one by one to identify the conflict.

By following these steps carefully, you should be able to restore proper functionality to the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 and successfully run the Video Memory Fast Check and Extended Memory Check tests.
