HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

i am using a hp pavillion 15.6 in gaming laptop pc 15-ec2000 and a thinkpad usb-c gen2 docking station I have talked with think pad support to rule out the moniters and the docking station as the problem a long with the conection cords. I have also figuerd out that the  problem is most likley the laptop and a software error I am not sure how to approche the situaiton I have tried talking to the hp support but they were no help and told me that I would have to pay $51 to talk to their technical support to get the issue resolved so I am at a total loss and I am trying to see if anyone here can posibly help me out.

What is your PC 15-ec2000 machine ? It should have same PORTS as the following machine

           HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2143nf

It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

In short: your machine is NOT compatible with your dock.

Regards.
