Step 1: Try Booting in Safe Mode
1. Press the Power button to turn off the laptop.
2. Press the Power button again to turn on the laptop.
3. Press the F8 key repeatedly before the Windows logo appears.
4. Select "Safe Mode" from the menu that appears.
Step 2: Check Display Settings
1. Go to Settings > System > Display.
2. Make sure the "Orientation" setting is set to "Landscape".
3. Make sure the "Touchscreen" setting is set to "Off".
Step 3: Check BIOS Settings
1. Press the F2 or F12 key (depending on the laptop model) while the laptop is on.
2. Select the "Advanced" menu > "Device Configuration".
3. Make sure the "Touchscreen" setting is set to "Disabled".
Step 4: Update the Display Driver
1. Open Device Manager.
2. Select "Display Adapters".
3. Right-click on the display driver and select "Update Driver".
Step 5: Perform a System Restore
1. Open Settings > System > Recovery.
2. Select "System Restore".
3. Select the restore point you want to use.
Step 6: Turn on the laptop while plugging in the adapter
If the steps above do not work, there may be a more serious problem with your laptop. I recommend that you contact HP technical support or take your laptop to an authorized service center to fix the problem.
