Hello

Thank you for your response the product is a QP 788AA#ABA.  When I look for the touch screen information there are

two touchscreen thing one is the one for the hid-compliant touch screen. The other is for a next window voltron touch screen.

Thanks for the reply, recommend you uninstall both the touchscreen drivers from device manager and reinstall the driver and check.

To isolate the issue (hardware or software) boot the computer to recovery manager by tapping F11 repeatedly on startup to enter recovery manager and try to use the touchscreen.

If the touchscreen does not work in recovery manager, then the issue is a hardware issue and request you contact our phone support for any service options. t

If touchscreen works fine in recovery manager, restart your computer and run HP Support Assistant to update all the drivers.

Keep me posted. Good Luck.

Hello I tried doing the suggestion and it did not work. But I was able to do a test that said the boot test failed and it gave me a error code that is 3fo.  Does that have something to do with the Issue? My thing is if I had to call and talk to someone am I going to have to pay for the phone advice. Or is it worth just leaving the computer the way I bought it? I was just hoping that it was a easy fix.

@mandi8890, It's great to hear from you again.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned when you ran the system diagnostics the test failed with error 3F0.

It looks like the hard drive on your PC is about to fail. Try contacting HP phone support and get your PC serviced.

Also, it looks like a hardware issue with the touchscreen.

Link to contact HP.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂
