Is it an HP 15-FD0366TU machine ? Its specs

        https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/computers/laptops/hp-15.6-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-ram-1tb-ssd-jet-b...

It ONLY has 1 hopeless USB Type-C 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

(Note: it is NOT compatible with any USB-C docks).

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Other option: old style USB-A dock :    https://support.hp.com/ie-en/product/details/hp-usb-3.0-3005pr-port-replicator/model/5256709

Did you get this sorted? I'm looking at buying the same machine as specs look good for the price, but want to be able to use with a monitor.

HP Recommended

Hello, no still not sorted. I purchased a 12 n 1 MST Docking station as per HP support but that has not helped either

Did I say it is NOT compatible with any USB-C docks, please do not spend your time and money to go for something won't work.

That't good to know, thanks. That dock may have built-in DisplayLink chip. Please let people know what is its model/product. I may test it and report the outcome.

Ok, thanks.  Good to know. I guess that's only a problem with multi screens aye? A single screen would just plug into the hdmi I'm told. Are you happy with it otherwise?

HP Recommended

Yes very happy with it  Thanks
