Hi @Dchat101,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the webcam on your HP Pavilion 23-B010 All-In-One Desktop PC is not working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check for Physical Blockage: Ensure no physical obstruction covers the webcam lens.
Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches.
Update Drivers: Make sure your webcam drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to the Device Manager, finding the webcam device, right-clicking, and selecting "Update driver." Software and Drivers for HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-b010
Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager and see if the webcam is detected. If there's a yellow exclamation mark or any error message, it indicates a driver issue.
Uninstall drivers on Device Manager
Open device manage to Uninstall drivers on Device Manager
1. Open Start.
2. Search for Device Manager and click the top result to open the app.
3. Expand the category with the device driver to remove.
4. Right-click the Camera driver and select the Uninstall device option.
5. Click the Uninstall button. Once you complete the steps, the driver will be entirely removed from the computer.
Restart the unit
Check Privacy Settings: In Windows, check the privacy settings to ensure that the webcam can be accessed by applications.
Use HP Support Assistant: If your HP computer comes with HP Support Assistant installed, you can use it to check for and install updates for your computer's hardware and drivers.
Run Hardware Troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can help identify and fix hardware issues. You can access them through the Control Panel or Settings.
Check Antivirus Software: Sometimes, antivirus software can block access to the webcam. Temporarily disable your antivirus software and see if the webcam starts working.
Restore System: If the issue started recently, you can try restoring your system to a point before the issue occurred using System Restore.
