I recently bought an "HP OMEN 30L GT13-0635" with an "HP OMEN 27I monitor" and I was just wondering what cable is the best or fastest for my setup?

Should I use the DisplayPort cable which was included or my trusty regular HDMI cable? I mainly use my computer for gaming/watching Netflix and stuff.

The higher the resolution, the more demanded on the graphics card.
So if you need high resolution prefer the displayPort
If you have a sufficiently powerful graphics card it shouldn't be a problem to choose one or the other.
