About micro SIM card

I am using windows 10 hp elite book x360 1030 G2 core i7 7generation, I am having issues with my laptop micro SIM card, seems not to be working even when I have done everything in my knowledge, still not working, I download drivers for the mobile cellular and the rest but I could not even see them, plz I need Ur help to get it working

Unless your notebook has the expensive and optional WWAN adapter that is required to connect to the cellular network, the SIM card is useless.

Your notebook uses these model WWAN adapters which if installed, would be listed in the device manager under the Network adapters device manager category:

HP lt4132 LTE/HSPA+ 4G Mobile Broadband Module

HP hs3210 HSPA with Mobile Broadband

Thanks allot, it is quite helpful for me, I will search for it and install those drivers from hp.com on software and drivers sections. Thanks , if anything I will explain to you.

You're very welcome.

The drivers will not install if the hardware is not installed.

If there are no devices in the device manager that need drivers, you should physically check to see that the hardware is installed.

See chapter 5 of the service manual for where to locate the WWAN adapter.

Thanks Paul_Tikkanen for your helpful information, but I have my WiFi all working, was thinking if their is not wan or wlan I don't think WiFi will be up and running

You're very welcome.

Your notebook comes with a Wi-Fi card.

If you are now able to be out of the house and connect to a cellular network, then the notebook must have a WWAN card too.

is this useful enough to tell i have that installed, cause i don't have a screw driver that match the nuts to unscrews those tinny nuts at the back of the laptop to confirm

and i can as well connect my laptop with my Nokia C21 Phone that i am using here as well.

That information isn't of help because all that tells you is that those were the network/WWAN adapters offered in the model series.

Like I wrote...if your notebook has a WWAN adapter installed, it will be listed in the Windows device manager under the Network adapters category.

That is also where you will find the Intel Wi-Fi AC adapter.

If you enter your notebook's serial number in the search box at the link below, it should provide a list of components that your notebook came with.

You said it righteously, you right, I will make up time to go to the repair store and ask them to open for me to confirm, so I can buy another on it. But it will pain me to know after all those and in it still did not work.
