I have 250megabit internet, and both my phone and my laptop get 250megabit download speeds from my office desk, but my desktop with USB WiFi adaptor which is located in the same place only gets 50-80megabits. What's my best option to up my speeds on my desktop? Wired ethernet is not an option in my apartment since we're renters and my modem is too far away, so my choices are between a Powerline adapter, a PCI-E Wifi card, a better USB Adapter or trying to set up some sort of Wireless bridge

You can use better USB adapter such as
