Hello So I am at a loss on what I can do in this situation. 2 days ago my pc's bluetooth decided to stop working. I opend device manager and saw that there was an issue with them. Usually when I have a device issue I uninstall and restart my computer to reinstall them. HOWEVER, my bluetooth drivers failed to reinstall along with showing up anywhere on my pc files. Ive done everything from reinstalling them from intel to checking my services to ensure they are working but my bluetooth is STILL not working. Am I just screwed?

@Bawxes1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Disappeared Bluetooth Drivers!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your Bluetooth drivers have disappeared from your HP PC and are not reinstalling, here are some steps to troubleshoot and attempt to resolve the issue:

Check Windows Update:

  • Make sure your PC is connected to the internet.
  • Open the Start Menu and go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates. Sometimes driver updates are included within Windows updates.

Use HP Support Assistant:

  • Launch HP Support Assistant from the start menu or taskbar.
  • Allow it to check for updates related to drivers and software. HP Support Assistant might have the Bluetooth drivers before Windows Update if they are directly provided by HP.

Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start Menu and selecting Device Manager.
  • If you see a Bluetooth category, expand it to see if a driver is listed with an error.
  • Right-click on the Bluetooth device (if visible) and select "Update driver" followed by "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Select 'Update driver'

Reinstall Original Drivers:

  • Visit the HP support website for your specific PC model and download any available Bluetooth drivers.
  • Install the downloaded Bluetooth drivers following the on-screen instructions.

Enable Device from BIOS:

  • Restart your computer and enter BIOS settings (typically by pressing F10 during boot-up).
  • Check the Bluetooth settings in the BIOS to ensure it is enabled.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
