HP Elite Slice
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'd like to know if  Bluetooth Intel 9560NGW works on my HP Elite Slice device, and if it does, does it require the antenna to be plugged in or is inserting it to M.2 slot enough

Hi:

If this is your PC, the Intel 9560 AC Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter will not work at all. Not the Wi-Fi or the Bluetooth.

The only PC's that card will work in are the ones it originally came with since it is a CNVi Wi-Fi adapter.

If you are wanting to upgrade the existing Intel 3165 ac, Intel 7265 ac , or Intel 8260 ac Wi-Fi /Bluetooth adapter to something better, see if this one works:

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

Your PC should have two antenna wires to connect to the Wi-Fi adapter.

Below is the link to the service manual.

Hardware Reference Guide (hp.com)

The Wi-Fi antenna wires are very thin and delicate so use extreme care when detaching them from the existing Wi-Fi adapter and reattaching them.

There is no procedure to remove or replace the Wi-Fi card so take a look at this video for how to remove the Wi-Fi card in this notebook.

There is no battery to remove.

The card is the same type that is used in your PC (M.2 form factor).

It may not have a plastic cover over it.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

It seems like my device does have antenna, but the wires appear to be merged together through some kind of plastic.

There's also no other WiFi module installed on my current device - I will have to find a new one
