Hi, Bluetooth no longer works on my desktop. I cannot turn it on, it is not available in Device manager. It was working less than a month ago. I tried reloading drivers. No luck. Ideas??
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Your machine uses Integrated Intel 3168 Bluetooth 4.2 and Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac featuring Dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) 1 x 1 technology.
Please download and install Intel Bluetooth Driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp84001-84500/sp84411.exe
or the newer one from Intel

Hi, thanks for that info. I tried the HP driver first, restarted the computer and nothing available in device manager.
I then tried the Intel driver. Restarted and still nothing available in device manager. Even looked at hidden devices and not Bluetooth.
Got this at the start of the Intel install so driver software was updated. I do see something that is having a problem in device manager.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Most likely hardware failed. You already know its adapter (Intel wifi+BT adapter), you can replace it.

Hi, so last week my Bluetooth magically started up again. No other software installed, no earth shaking, ground moving vibrations to restore a flaky connection. Anybody know if there was a MS patch that was causing an issue. Either way, I now have Bluetooth again.
Cheers all
