I finally bought a pair of Beats headphones to go with the audio on my desktop.
Well, the desktop's Bluetooth is not playing nice with the headphones.

Here's the specifics of what is going on:
The desktop provides 2 options for my Beats: "headset" and "Bluetooth A2DP Stereo".

(This is normal & happens with other bluetooth devices I use).

"Headset" mode works fine, though it has terrible quality as usual.

"Stereo" mode is very choppy, like every second or more.

I've troubleshooted all the stuff that websites & the HP Virtual Agent have suggested:

I've tried turning the headphones & desktop off & on again.

I've updated, uninstalled, & reinstalled the Bluetooth & Beats drivers.
I've turned off hands-free telephony.

It's not distance, as I'm testing this less than 2 feet from the desktop.

The computer says that that the headphones are performing properly.
The headphones have zero problems when paired with my iPhone.

I'm at a loss for what to try next. Any suggestions?

Nevermind, y'all. Problem solved! Windows 10 needed a general update (which it was delaying until later). That fixed it
