Hi @Mightymouse4

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you connect your HP Pavilion Slimline PC to Wi-Fi:

Step 1: Check Wi-Fi Capability

  1. Ensure your HP Pavilion Slimline has built-in Wi-Fi or a Wi-Fi adapter installed.
    • If it doesn’t, you may need to use a USB Wi-Fi adapter or install a PCI-e wireless card.

Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
  3. Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on.

Step 3: Connect to a Network

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar (bottom-right corner).
  2. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  3. Enter the network password and click Connect.

Step 4: Update Network Drivers

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Network Adapters section.
  3. Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update Driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Step 5: Troubleshoot Network Issues

  1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  2. Click Network Troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 6: Reset Network Settings

  1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  2. Scroll down and click Network Reset.
  3. Restart your PC after the reset.

Step 7: Check Router Settings

  1. Ensure your router is powered on and broadcasting the Wi-Fi signal.
  2. Restart the router to refresh the connection.
  3. Verify that your PC is within range of the router.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
