I have gone on a number of sites and youtube looking for the fix with my issue of not connecting to the internet. I have tried everything but nothing is working. I have connected the ethernet cable into the tower but it still says there is no ethernet connected. Please help.

Try a ping test like this...
C:\>ping 127.0.0.1
Pinging 127.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms
Then
C:\>ping 192.168.0.1
Pinging 192.168.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Minimum = 2ms, Maximum = 6ms, Average = 3ms
Post results please.
