I have a HP laptop and I can’t connect to the wifi at all. In the settings the internet option is completely gone and I’ve tried everything the AI said to do and it doesn’t work. Was working just fine yesterday but I don’t know where the bar that says wifi in network and internet went.

@Mu1zz, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Laptop WiFi Connection Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP laptop is unable to connect to WiFi and the internet option in the settings is missing, here are several steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue:
Restart Your Laptop:
- Sometimes, simply restarting the laptop can resolve minor issues.
Check WiFi Toggle:
- Ensure that WiFi is enabled on your laptop. Some models have a physical switch or function key (Fn + F12, for example) to turn WiFi on and off.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections and run the troubleshooter.
Network Adapter Reset:
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
- Look for Network adapters, right-click your wireless adapter, and select Disable device. Wait a few moments, then select Enable device.
- Alternatively, you can uninstall the adapter and then restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
Check Drivers with HP Support Assistant:
- HP Support Assistant can help keep your drivers updated. It's usually pre-installed on HP laptops.
- Open HP Support Assistant, go to the My device tab, and check for updates and install any available updates for network drivers.
Update Network Drivers:
- Go to the Device Manager, find your network adapter, right-click it, and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
Check WiFi Service:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Look for WLAN AutoConfig, right-click, and ensure it is running. If it’s stopped, start the service.
Network Reset:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
- Click Reset now and follow the prompts.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
