I was on windows 10 when my wireless driver disapeared. Tried installing the original diver but it said it didn't meet the requirements so I went back to read them and it said I needed to be on windows 7, so I thought ok maybe my computer isn't supported on windows 10 since the driver doesn't support windows 10 and also I bought this computer in 2010. So I re-downloaded windows 7 and tried re-installing the driver to only it giving me the same error that it doesnt meet the requirements. I've spent hours tryng different methods like Windows Update and YouTube tutorials and installing different drivers but nothing worked. The driver i'm trying to install is sp51467a. am I doing something wrong?

Hi
You have a HP TouchSmart 310-1124f Desktop PC, with which WireLess Adapter?

Hi
Can't really ID and help with the wireless card...
N/A- | 588551-001 | LAN Card - Trembler, Half mini card 802.11b/g/n 1x1 NO LONGER SUPPLIED |

- Interface type: PCI-e half-length mini card
- Data transfer speeds: up to 150 Mbps
- Transmission standards: 802.11 b/g/n
- Supported antenna connections: 1 (1 internal post to connect an internal)
- Operating band: 2.4 GHz
- Supported security protocols:
- WPA
- WEP
RT3090 suggests a Realtek model. But it could have failed and need replacing, or more likely I'm wrong.

Hi, @rafael927
See if this W7 Ralink wifi driver works...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Ralink wireless LAN Controllers in the supported models running a supported operating system.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71001-71500/sp71421.exe
Now, if you want to go back to W10, click on the Update now button, at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation, check the 'Skip' box, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Here is the link to the W10 wifi driver for that model wifi card.
5.0.57.0 Rev.A Jun 18, 2015

You should note that the model wifi card your PC has does not work well with any build of W10 other than the original release.
The most common issue is the wifi card just flat out disappears from the device manager randomly and there is no known reliable way of getting it to show up again.
If this happens to you, my suggestion would be to purchase an external USB wifi adapter that works with W10, or go back to W7, and buy a new PC once W7 is no longer supported after the year 2020.
