Hey there! I am hoping someone can provide a little clarity to my question about finding a compatible intel WiFi card for my HP Omen 40L.

Current Wifi card: Realtek RTL8852AE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter

Current MOBO: HP HanaAOC SSID: 8949

OS: Windows 11 64-bit

I am currently looking at purchasing an intel AX210 or Intel AX200 wifi card to replace the realtek, but I cannot find anything online about compatibility. If the compatibility of the AX210 or AX200 is unknown, do you have any suggestions for known intel wifi cards that will work with my current PC?

I notice that the wifi card keys E and A are the same on the cards I am looking at VS the one installed (if that makes sense).

Thanks for the help!

Hi:

The motherboard specs for your PC indicate it has an AMD processor and chipset.

Given those parameters, I recommend you go with the Intel AX200 non-vPro.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro    HP part #L35282-005

The reason I recommend this card is that it is the same one HP installed in my HP AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor notebook.

The Intel AX210 has a hit or miss chance of working as it does in the HP notebooks with the AMD processors and chipsets.

If you want to try an AX210, then this would be the part number for that one:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # M27269-005.

Paul,

Absolutely! I purchased the card and it has been shipped.

I will provide an update next week with card replacement in WiFi changes.

Thanks again!
