Compatible wireless card

Pavilion HPE H8-1141
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Pavilion HPE H8-1141 with a single band 2.4GHz mini wireless PCIe card. I'm looking to upgrade to a Dual-band 2.4GHz/5.0GHz mini wireless card. Can anyone recommend a compatible card? Thank you.

Hi:

How many wifi antenna cables are attached to the card in there now?

There has to be two of them in order to upgrade to a dual band wifi card.

Only one cable.

Could I buy another antenna cable? or is it not that simple? 😄

Thanks.

Hi:

I don't think it is that simple.

You'd have to get another cable like the one in there now and I don't know where the transceiver goes inside the case when there are two of them.

I recommend you buy a dual band USB wifi AC adapter.
