Hi @Dawnyell,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reconnect your wireless mouse and keyboard to your HP All-in-One desktop after changing the batteries, follow these steps.
Check the Power
- Ensure both the mouse and keyboard are powered on. Look for a power switch, if available, or check that the batteries are installed correctly.
Reconnect the Devices
Using the USB Receiver:
- If your mouse and keyboard use a USB receiver (dongle), make sure it's plugged into a USB port on your desktop.
- Press the connect button on the USB receiver, if applicable. This is usually found on the receiver itself.
Pairing the Mouse and Keyboard:
- For Bluetooth Devices:
- On your desktop, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Click on Add Bluetooth or other device and select Bluetooth.
- Follow the prompts to pair your mouse and keyboard.
- For Wireless Devices:
- Locate the connect button on your mouse and keyboard.
- Press the connect button on the keyboard, then on the mouse, allowing them to establish a connection with the USB receiver.
Test the Connection
- Move the mouse and press keys on the keyboard to ensure they are functioning properly.
Troubleshooting (if needed)
- If the devices still do not connect:
- Try restarting your computer.
- Check for any interference from other wireless devices.
- Ensure that the devices are within range of the USB receiver.
Note:
- Make sure the drivers for your mouse and keyboard are up to date. You can check for updates in Device Manager.
- If the devices have specific software (like Logitech Unifying Software), make sure it is installed and configured properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
