Hi @Edenatc,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are steps to help you connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to your HP desktop.
Check the Wireless Connection Type
Wireless keyboards and mice usually connect in one of two ways:
- USB Receiver/Dongle: Most wireless devices come with a small USB dongle.
- Bluetooth: Some wireless devices connect directly via Bluetooth.
For USB Dongle Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
- Insert the USB dongle into an available USB port on your HP desktop.
- Turn on the keyboard/mouse using the power switch (if they have one).
- Wait for your desktop to automatically recognize the devices. This may take a few moments.
For Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your HP desktop:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Put the keyboard/mouse into pairing mode (refer to the device's manual for instructions).
- On your desktop, click Add Bluetooth or other device, choose Bluetooth, and select your keyboard/mouse from the list.
- Complete the pairing process as prompted.
Replace or Check the Batteries
If the keyboard or mouse is not responding, ensure the batteries are not depleted or improperly installed.
Update Drivers
- Ensure your desktop has the latest drivers for USB ports or Bluetooth.
- Go to Device Manager > Bluetooth or Mice and other pointing devices to update drivers.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
