Hello, for the last 2 weeks my HP Desktop’s Wifi keeps dropping.  I already called my internet carrier T-Mobile.  My gateway is fine (I have 4 bars).  I have Windows 11.

I will be working on my desktop, step away to either get coffee or use the restroom.  When I return my desktop Wifi is disconnected.  I then need to go to Network & Internet Settings, click on WiFi, then select Show Available Network to re-engage my Wifi. This happens all day long. Can you please help me fix this.

Hi:

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your PC have?

You can find that information by going to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category.

The first thing to try is if your PC's Wi-Fi adapter has a power management tab in the device manager, would be to uncheck the 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.'

The other option would be to update the driver if necessary.
