I recently bought a new HP Envy 27 AIO PC-cp0000i, and I am disappointed with the Realtek8822 card's performance. The new product replaces my 2016 AIO Envy 27-b206na, and I note that it has the same Realtek8822. Has nothing changed in 7 years at HP?
My other AIO (a 34" beauty!) boasts a Realtek8852AE card. That computer gives the user the ability to switch off the use of the 2.4GHz wifi in favour of the 5.2GHz signal - and the much better reception in our house!
Instead, this 'old' Realtek8822 card's software will only allow the preferred option of one or other wifi signal. The result, regardless of what is asked, is it always wants to go for the 2.4GHz signal. The only solution seems to be to disable the 2.4GHz at the hub. Very disappointed with this product.
