Hi, I have an hp desktop serial number is [Personal Information Removed]. My machine has windows 7 on it. I understand that windows 7 isn’t supported anymore. My father had installed a wireless board and it worked fine then. I can’t afford to upgrade the os at this time and I’ve had to reload the os because of it crashing. I restored it thru the recovery partition and it wasn’t updated with all the latest drivers. The wireless antennae has no writing on it so I have no clue where to find it. I went on hp’s support website and it won’t recognize my os because it’s windows 7. Is there a way to recover or find the driver for the antennae. Any help would be greatly appreciated. .maybe there’s a generic driver that would work.
thank you.

Hi:
Go to the device manager and post the hardware ID for the device you see listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller. That is what Windows labels a wifi adapter when it needs the driver installed.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...
