Product: Pavilion 9150
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
error message as indicated in "problem" Eithernet works on laptop but not desktop. so Router appears to be OK. tried various suggestions on you-tube and G search No luck

So it is a desktop?
The IP address is either set manually by you, or is assigned (by the router usually).
You want some basic numbers...
C:\>ipconfig
Windows IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.31
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
If in doubt please ask.
