Greetings!

 

I'm experiencing an issue with the Ethernet connection on my HP Compaq Pro 6300 and I need some help understanding what might be happening.

When I connect my PC directly to the router using an Ethernet cable, everything works perfectly. However, if I connect the same cable to a network switch and then to my PC, the Ethernet port isn't detecting any connection. Oddly enough, when I use the same network switch and cable with another PC, it works without any problems. This peculiar behavior is unique to this particular computer, and I'm puzzled as to why it's happening. If anyone has insights into this issue, I'd greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you!
