Product: HP ENVY Desktop - 750-247c
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I am setting up an old HP Envy 750-247c. I've done all the mandatory windows 10 drivers update. I moved the ethernet cable from my prior desktop to the HP Envy and now when I run internet speed tests it won't go past 100 mbps - on my old desktop with the SAME cable I can easily get 700 mbps or more.
- I've used the windows update utility and it doesn't recommend any additional drivers
- I've used the HP support assistant windows app and it doesn't recommend any additional drivers
- My motherboard bios seem to be from 2015 - I downloaded the bios from the product support page and installing in windows but either it says my motherboard is incompatible or it does nothing when I click the .exe file after the app installs to the c drive.
Please help me fix, the product page says that the port should be Realtek RTL8161 10/100/1000, so this is ANNOYING!! And yes I am plugged via ethernet to the port on the motherboard. And I never connected via wifi.
