Hi @BernieRyan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Bluetooth keyboard doesn't have a visible connect or on/off switch, it may enter pairing mode automatically when it’s turned on or has fresh batteries installed. Here are steps to help troubleshoot and connect it.

Battery Check: If the keyboard uses batteries, make sure they are fresh and properly installed.

Initiate Pairing Mode: Many HP Bluetooth keyboards without a physical switch automatically enter pairing mode once they power on. If there’s an LED indicator, it should start blinking to show it’s in pairing mode.

Pair on Your Device:

  • On Windows:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Turn on Bluetooth if it’s not enabled, then click on Add Bluetooth or other device.
    • Select Bluetooth, and look for the keyboard in the list of available devices. Click on it to connect.
  • On Mac:
    • Open System Preferences > Bluetooth.
    • Ensure Bluetooth is on, and your keyboard should appear in the device list. Click Connect.
  • On Android or iOS:
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
    • Wait for the keyboard to appear in the list and select it to pair.

Reset Bluetooth Settings: If pairing fails, you can try removing any previously connected Bluetooth keyboards or resetting the Bluetooth settings on your device and then retry.

Manual Pairing (if applicable): Some models may have a pairing shortcut using key combinations (like holding down the Function (Fn) key along with another key, such as Bluetooth icon or B key). Check your model's user manual or HP support site for specific pairing instructions if these steps don’t work.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
