I have an HP Compaq Elite 8300 all in one computer and I have a Windows 8.1 operating system. I had to format it. When the installation is completed, I get a code 10 error on the wifi hardware.

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your PC have?

HP offered a couple of different models in the 8300 Elite AIO model series and the parts list for the S/N you posted does not provide any info on that.

Hi:

That is not the Wi-Fi adapter.  That is the ethernet (wired adapter).

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest W8.1 driver Intel has for that model ethernet adapter.

I don't see in the parts list that your PC came with a wireless adapter.

Those were optional and not every 8300 Elite AIO PC had one.
