I purchased a HP Deskjet 2755e tried to get it connected. It connected but kept disconnecting from the internet and from the devices that we're trying to print. I struggled with this for 4 days with technical support. Spending a lot of help with no solution. I was told to re purchase the identical machine that there was no problem with the machine.
The new machine installed perfectly, just like the old one did printed perfectly just like the old one dead but when it went to sleep it disconnected from all the devices and the internet even though my router could detect it and get an excellent signal.
Since then, I found that HP is getting a lot of problems due to that particular printer with losing connection and I thought you might want to be aware of that and stay away from that printer until it's fixed. I saw that 800 people bought that machine this month so I'm kind of worried for other folks.

Hi @Bob7318228,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Splendid analysis and remarkable patience were shown. It is immensely appreciated.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, and remove any printer-related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Apply static IP
1. Print a Network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
2. Look for IP address from the Network configuration page.
3. Open web browser - Chrome or IE or any other browser that you are using.
4. Type the IP address mentioned on Network configuration page into the browser's address bar or URL bar and press enter button.
5. Go to the Network tab.
6. Click on Networking from the left pane.
7. Then click on Network Address (IP).
8. Click on Manual IP Address and go to suggest a Manual IP.
9. Scroll down the screen and select Manual DNS server.
10. Enter the Primary and secondary DNS server from the Network Configuration page into the Manual Preferred DNS server field.
11. Click on Apply.

To fix this issue, I suggest disabling the IPv6 on the printer's EWS page -
(1) To open the printer's EWS page, open the Internet browser and type the IP address for your printer into the URL field of your Internet browser.
Note: To get the IP Address, print a Network Configuration Page. Press the Wireless button and Information button at the same time to print the network configuration page.
(2) On the printer's EWS page, click the Network or Networking tab, and then open Network protocol under general
(3) Select Enable IPv4 only (or similar)
(4) Click Apply, and then wait until the changes are confirmed. Restart the Printer, router, and your phone, and try printing again.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
