The wireless network adapter stopped working.  Don't know where it's located inside the PC, nor what the HP part number would be.  Help?

Hi:

Below is the link to the parts list for your PC.

HP PartSurfer

It comes with a Ralink RT3290 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter.

Actually, there probably isn't anything wrong with the Wi-Fi adapter.

The fact that it has completely disappeared from the device manager happens all the time on the newer builds of W10 and that model Wi-Fi adapter.

What I suggest you do rather than taking the PC apart to install a different model Wi-Fi adapter (which may not be possible since your PC is 10 years old and may have a BIOS whitelist), would be to purchase a USB dual band Wi-Fi adapter and use that instead.

If the Bluetooth has also disappeared (which it usually does or will do soon), this model has dual band Wi-Fi + Bluetooth.
