Hello,
I’m facing an issue with my HP S500 wireless mouse (Model: S500 | PN: 7YA11PA#ACJ). After inserting a working battery, the red light flashes once and then turns off. When I plug the USB receiver into my laptop, there’s no detection sound and the system does not recognize the device at all. I’ve tried different USB ports and multiple systems with no change. The mouse becomes completely unresponsive.
I tried checking the warranty on HP’s website, but the mouse model isn’t even listed. The process was confusing and unnecessarily complex, especially for an official HP accessory.
Honestly, it’s frustrating that HP seems to offer limited to no support for accessories it manufactures, like mice, keyboards, and other peripherals, when there’s full support for notebooks, desktops, and printers?
Has anyone else faced this issue with the S500 mouse or similar accessories?
Is there any way to resolve this online, or perhaps a way to get in touch with a service/support center for HP accessories?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hey @Mansha_Abidi10,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you're having with your HP S500 wireless mouse. I totally get how frustrating it can be when a device doesn’t work as expected.
From what you’ve described, it seems like the mouse might have a hardware fault, especially since you’ve already tested it with different USB ports and systems, and there’s no recognition at all.
I suggest you reach out to the nearest HP Authorised service center for personalized assistance. They can provide one-on-one help to fix the problem.
Note: There might be a nominal charge for the service they provide.
