HP Wireless Keyboard: Single Keystroke = Multiple Characters

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion HPE h8-1320t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP wireless keyboard (Model #KG-1061) has started producing multiple characters in response to a single keystroke. Does anyone know what's causing this malfunction, and how to fix it?  Thanks for any help you gurus out there may be able to provide.

NOTE:  There has been no recent change to my setup, as far as I know, that could explain this sudden change in behavior.

I wish to thank Dragon-Fur for his/her answer to my wireless keyboard "multiple characters" problem.  Although the response did not explain in detail the keyboard settings (how the "repeat delay" scale functioned), I was able to tinker a little and figure it out, I believe.  Thanks again.

@clei

You are welcome.

More tidbits for the keyboard - some of which might be of interest to you:

Control Panel > icon view > Ease of Access > Make the keyboard easier to use

For example,

Control Panel > icon view > Ease of Access > Make the keyboard easier to use >

Set up Filter Keys > Filter Options > Turn on Bounce keys

Good Luck and Happy Computing!
