Hi All,

I have a bit old HP wireless mouse x4500 Model: MORFG8UL. I've lost my Bluetooth receiver and I'd like to know can I use a universal one for this particular model and where can I buy such from?

Hi,

My bad, I meant USB receiver as stated in the title. I found this info for this mouse https://www.hp.com/ie-en/products/accessories/product-details/product-specifications/5262690 :

Connector description Wireless technologies

USB wireless receiver at 2.4 GHz

HP Link-5 technology

It seems it uses HP link-5 so I guess I can try with such. Do you think that something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004129892902.html will help or they are also specified for a particular model of mouse?

I cannot guarantee the sales information of a third party site.
but normally there is just from what i saw, only one HP Link-5 model..
I don't know if it's a trusted site, but I haven't found many sites in France that sell it (google search)
8€ I find it a bit expensive for just the dongle
But if you want to be able to use your mouse, not much choice
Contact the dealer, so that he confirms all the same

Thanks, I don't see HP themselves to sell this dongle so I guess I don't have much choice. Thanks a lot for your support. Have great days ahead 🙂
