If I choose the port 10, external wlan antenna opening , how it works?
That is, if it the port is pre-configured, but NOT connected to the external antenna, will the internal antenna work alone? or just no antenna work?
If the port is connected to the external anternna, will it work together with internal antenna, or bypass the internal?
Thanks.

Hi,
I believe the external antenna is optional.
so if your PC looks exactly like the one in the picture (you posted), the actual port is not there. You can see in the service manual how the external antenna is attached.
You can also see here
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-elite-800-g9-mini-pc-customizable-550b5av-mb#techSpecs
Under specification
External I/O Ports it says "1 external antenna connector" however it also says to go to point 35 where is stated
[35] The external antenna could be configured with the flex IO port 2 as an optional.
So to be able to use an external antenna you would need to replace the flex board on port number 2
Having said that you probably could also get a kit and place external antennas by attaching them directly to WLAN module in the PC (if that is what you really need)
Examples
Probably cost a lot less.
Hope it helps,
David
