How do I know if my computer can connect to my smart tv via bluetooth?

HP Recommended

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to use my new smart tv as a monitor for my computer.  TV is a Samsung Q60R.  My computer recognizes other bluetooth devices, but not the tv.  The TV also accepts other bluetooth devices (phone, headphones, speakers) but doesn't recognize the computer or any bluetooth keyboards I have tried.  Can I do a straight bluetooth connection or do I need to do something like something in between?

@JaciBS Welcome to HP Forums Community!

I'm afraid you'll need Miracast compatible wireless adapter to connect to a TV or monitor via Bluetooth or WiFi and your device doesn't seem to support that,

hence you would not be able to connect via Bluetooth, you could, however, make use of the HDMI cable to connect the device,

For more details on connecting the device to a smart TV or monitor: Click here

Notice that the Bluetooth device only supports connection to Pen, etc as shown in the below image:

I hope that answers your query,
