Hunting for a Wireless Adapter.
05-20-2020 02:08 PM

Hey, so I recently just reinstalled Windows on my Pavillion 23-q110. On my own I have been able to reinstall most drivers, and the computer is in a working state except for one thing that's starting to be annoying..
THE MAIN ISSUE
So, I can connect to my router fine with ethernet, however my wireless adapter is GONE. Completely GONE. I can only connect using an ethernet cable, this will not do as I need a wireless connection. Soo.. I've been looking around the hp support website and hp forums, and nothing I've come across worked EXCEPT for the ethernet driver installation.
So yea, I'm stumped for now. If it helps, the only adapters in Control Panel that are visible is:
1. Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (this one is the one I use for ethernet)
2. Bluetooth Network Connection (i dont need bluetooth)
Please advise,
thanks from printingpuffy.

You're very welcome.
You're PC, even though it has an AMD processor, it has an Intel 3165 AC wifi card.

Hi:
You posted that you installed W7.
The specs for your PC indicate that it came with W10.
If that is correct, then you need this W7 driver for the wifi adapter your PC has.

Hey thanks for the response, I have one question before doing what the link you provided told me to do. I forgot to include that my model is the AMD model, would this Intel link still work?
