I have an Envy 700-050 desktop operating Windows 8.1. Today when I signed in, I found I had no internet connection. My internet access is through WiFi using a Modem/Router from Spectrum. Checking the Network and Sharing settings, I could not find a WiFi setting, just Broadband and Ethernet. Checking the Device Manager and Network Adapters, I find two Bluetooth controllers and a Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller, but no Wireless Network Controller. The HP support site lists the Ralink Wireless Network Controller for the 700-050, but a driver check also shows an Atheros Wireless Netwrok Controller driver.
Does anyone know which the controller for this model, Ralink or Atheros?
