Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am not a computer pr/person but I googled the problem and I found out it is due to TCPIP corruption. ( whatever that is!!)

I followed a few steps using the command prompt as administrator  with 2 commands : netsh winsock reset and then

netsh int ip reset  that works to restore access to everything else that wants to use the internet like google, but it keeps happening. I have no issues if I connect with Edge .

No issues with my wireless signal.

i have mcaffee installed but am allowing access to the internet on the apps I am using.

Any insignt/ instruction to prevent this from repeating would be appreciated.

Check if you have a proxy server enabled...and Disabled it! that should restore connection in other browsers in case of problems...

or try the Windows Network Troubleshoote: from SETTINGS-->Update and Security-->troubleshoot Tab...and select it from there!

Let us know if it helped

Unfortunately running the windows trouble shooter does not help as it cannot find any issues with the internet ans A  I stated Edge can access the internet, just not anything else  I don't know how to check if I have a proxy enalbed and then  how to disable it.  Sometime if I just reboot the computer it allows access to everthing again  As I stated it has something to do with corruption fo the TCPIP protocol

 supposedly

Ok try the following commands in command prompt with administrative privileges to manually reset TCP-IP connections

netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

netsh winsock reset catalog

After those ...restart computer

Yes that works. And I’ve done it a number of times. The question is how to stop it from keep on happening

HP Recommended

1)You can try uninstalling and reinstall the driver from scratch...

2)Also run those 2 windows commands to make sure there are not windows corruption errors.

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

3)Also...try scan it with antivirus/anti-malware.

4)Do a network RESET....go to All settings-->Network and Internet-->Network reset (last option down)

If none of the above work...I would suggest you do a reset of you computer to start fresh
