Hello. I turn off the Wi-Fi, but it turns on by itself after restarting the computer.
I turn off the Wi-Fi like this: Start - Settings - Network and Internet - Wi-Fi - Wireless network - turn off the switch.
What do I need? I need that after I turn off the Wi-Fi, so that the Wi-Fi does not turn on.

Hi @Surikov,
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊
If your HP ProDesk 400 G6 Desktop Mini PC running Windows 11 keeps turning Wi-Fi back on after a restart—even after you've manually disabled it—this is likely due to a Windows feature that automatically manages wireless connections.
Here’s how you can stop Wi-Fi from turning on automatically:
Step-by-Step Fix
-
Disable Wi-Fi Auto Reconnect:
- Go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Click on "Manage known networks".
- Select the Wi-Fi network you usually connect to.
- Toggle "Connect automatically when in range" to Off.
-
Disable Wi-Fi Auto Switch:
- In the same Wi-Fi settings, scroll down and click "Advanced network settings".
- Click "More network adapter options".
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties.
- Click Configure > go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck: “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
-
Use Device Manager to Disable Wi-Fi (Optional but Effective):
- Press Windows + X > select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Intel or Realtek) > Disable device.
- This will keep Wi-Fi off until you manually re-enable it.
-
Check Windows Wi-Fi Sense (if available):
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Sense.
- Turn off any options like "Connect to suggested open hotspots" or "Connect to networks shared by my contacts".
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved, and if you feel this reply was helpful, click “Yes”.

Max3Aj, this is not a solution to the problem, it is a workaround.
But the problem remains. It should not happen that the user turns off the switch, and after restarting the computer, the switch returns to its original state.
I know how to disable Wi-Fi, and I've found a solution.
But the problem remained - something was wrong with something, either with the computer or something else.
